Take one day at a time.

Using drugs meant for individuals with medical needs to carry out executions is a misguided effort to mask the brutality of executions by making them look serene and beautiful — like something any one of us might experience in our final moments.

But executions are, in fact, brutal, savage events, and nothing the state tries to do can mask that reality. Nor should we. If we as a society want to carry out executions, we should be willing to face the fact that the state is committing a horrendous brutality on our behalf.

U.S. 9th Circuit Court Chief Judge Alex Kozinski, in a dissent filed Monday in the Arizona death penalty case of Joseph Rudolph Wood III. Wood’s attorneys described his execution, which took place Wednesday, as botched; it began at 1:52 p.m. and he wasn’t declared dead until 3:49. (via latimes)

Will: Carlton, carlton, I understand that you’re scared, man, but the world can be a scary place. Just got to learn to deal with it.

Carlton: Yeah, well, I found my way.

Will: That’s not you, man. that’s them.

^ i remember this episode i cried while watching this

Me too. 😢

This episode had me in tears, man. Like, you really knew the characters were growing from this. I loved how it was comedy and still touched on issues that affected Black youth. We need more shows like this on television.

You gotta think, the whole concept of this show was Will growing up in a bad neighborhood where shit like this happened all the time, and Carlton grew up in a life of privilege and sheltered from this kind of life, and I think Will was crying because he came so close to seeing Carlton go down the wrong path and end up like some of his friends back in Philly.

Damnit, y’all… Damn.

But ya’ll be like Will can’t act.

loved this show. i am old.

15-Year-Old African Kid Tells Madonna To Go ‘Have Sex’ with Herself

almightykushlord:

Dakarai Molokomme, a 15-year-old starving child from a small village in Zimbabwe, has just told , one of the most famous pop stars in the world, to  and f*** , the local media are reporting exclusively.

“Yes, it’s true, I told Madonna to go f*** herself. Do you want to know why?” Dakarai asked. “It’s the same thing every time with these snobby rich Americans. Every once in a while they come to show us their support for the so-called eradication of poverty by adopting a child from a starving family, but they actually do more harm than good. Transracial international adoptions are part of the white savior industrial complex,” Dakarai explained.

In further discussions with journalists from the media, the  stated that “none of the children here actually want to be taken away from their family and friends so they can be displayed as some kind of trophy in the homes of self-righteous singers or actors who want to score some points with the media and Oprah.”

“If they really want to help us, they should get Big Pharma to ship us some anti-retroviral drugs for the AIDS epidemic, or build schools and hospitals. If they don’t want to do that, then they can all go f** themselves!” the child told reporters.

The 15-year-old also stated that he would say the same thing to any one of those American or European “faux humanitarian posers”, except for Bono, whom he said he would also kick in the groin.

“Bono’s efforts to save the African savage from itself prove that the colonial imperative is alive and well,” Dakarai said as he walked with other village children collecting sticks to build a tree fort.

Reblog if you show legitimate concern for Jared Padalecki's health.

Jared your fans love you. Take care of yourself, okay?

I’m going to address this, since it’s been in the tags quite a bit in the last few days…

JARED IS PERFECTLY HEALTHY!!!

Jared has stated at various cons, time and time again, that…

******************************

But who is this who professes to know personally?

This whole story may be true. I am a relatively new follower so I don’t know Jared’s personal health history.  We won’t know either,  because of HIPAA laws, which protect the privacy of our medical information here in the States. Jared doesn’t have to disclose anything; he too is protected by HIPAA.

I hope to heaven that he is fine.  Two things bother me - there are many others who notice the striking change. When a lot of people notice a dramatic change in appearance, there is something there.  If Jared is eating his normal diet, I wouldn’t think he would sustain such a dramatic loss that his belt is close to its first notch as it appears in the latest TCA pictures.  I can see the loss of muscle mass in shoulders and arms, even his neck.  As evident in the Handlebar picture, his legs are full of muscles.  They’re incredibly muscled and defined.   His knees and his wrists are down to the bone, though.  The bones in his skull are visible.  I just don’t understand why he would lose so much noticeable weight due to simply not being able to do chin ups and push ups.

Like I said, I hope this is all due to him not being able to work out. But wow - I never heard of someone losing weight due to this.  Does bulking up or not being able to bulk up cause such a dramatic difference? At the age of 32, just kind of seems his metabolism would have started to slow down a bit. Loss of muscle normally slows down one’s metabolism, not speed it up.

Hopefully, he is out of the sling soon. But if he had surgery as this article says he did, then he’s got a long road to hoe before he can begin to work out as he is accustomed to.

The jury is still out as far as I feel.  Someone simply telling me to stop thinking a certain way is not going to cut it.

Im going with his muscle atrophied due to lack of workout. Lol.
